Falana In Closed Door Meeting With Jonathan

Lagos-based lawyer and human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), was at the presidential villa yesterday where he held a closed door meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan.

After the meeting which lasted for two hours, Falana who was confronted by State House correspondents on the outcome of the meeting, simply said, “It is a private visit, it is a private visit”.
This was after journalists had insisted that he was not a regular visitor at the State House.
Falana who is also counsel to LEADERSHIP Newspapers Group in the on-going suit instituted against the company’s Group News Editor, Mr. Tony Amokeodo and Politics Reporter, Chibuzor Ukaibe over charges of forgery, said the meeting had nothing to do with the legal action.
“It has nothing to do with that at all, on a very serious note”, Falana said, adding that it was also not on the 2015 polls.
