Former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan may attempt to divide Nigeria if he failed to get second term in 2015.
The former minister who stated this over the weekend while speaking to Journalists in Minna said that the body language of the president on the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) election was a clear indication. He alleged that Jonathan would attempt to split the country if he fails to win in 2015, just as he has succeeded in causing a division in the NGF.
He said that the crisis in the NGF was a “clear indication that should President Goodluck Jonathan lose next election he will plot for the division of the country”.
Fani-Kayode said that it was only in Nigeria that a loser with the backing of the Presidency can declare himself the winner leading to the splitting of NGF.
However, Fani Kayode, assured that the opposition would terminate the reign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at the next general election.
The former minister said the nation should be prepared for a possible attempt to split the country when the PDP government fails at the general election.
According to him, “the retention of power by the PDP in 2015 would spell doom for the country and we may never recover from it.”
He said the PDP had failed in all sectors. “It failed to address the economic, socio and political problems of the country. 6,000 Nigerians have been killed by Boko Haram in the last two years and this administration has no solution to the security challenges. We owe our future the duty to flush out the PDP come 2015.”
Fani Kayode said the recent happenings in the PDP showed that the party was taking the path of the German Nazi regime and the communist China.
