Arsenal moved into third in the
Barclays Premier League after Theo Waclott's early strike secured all
three points at Loftus Road.
The
Gunners had slipped to fifth following Tottenham's late victory over
Southampton, but Walcott's goal after 20 seconds - the quickest in
England's top flight this term - ensured they moved back above their
North London rivals and Chelsea who travel to Manchester United
tomorrow.
Arsenal looked on course to win at a canter following Walcott's strike at the already-relegated QPR.
But
the hosts made Arsene Wenger's side work for all three points and
Wojciech Szczesny pulled off a smart save to stop Loic Remy in the
closing stages.
