Dutse — Presidential campaign posters for the joint ticket of
Governors Sule Lamido and Chibuike Amaechi of Jigawa and Rivers States
respectively have flooded some major towns in Jigawa State.
The posters were pasted in private and public buildings at Ringim
town on Sunday by some youths allegedly hired by prominent politicians
in the state.
When Vanguard visited Ringim town, some people who were apparently
excited by the development were seen in groups discussing the
development, hoping that Lamido would get his party’s ticket to rule the
country.
The posters were said to have been brought into Ringim town in large
quantities as supporters, party members and other well wishers started
collecting the posters which were pasted in commercial buildings, motor
parks and other strategic places along the Unity Road.
A resident of the area who spoke on the condition of anonymity said
he was impressed with the development as it was time for the people to
know those interested in ruling them either as governors or president in
2015.
