They were expected to be on their way to Brazil but the
African champions failed to fly to South Africa from Namibia on Tuesday
due to a row over win bonus for a World Cup qualifier.
The Super Eagles were to have flown out of Windhoek to Johannesburg,
Thursday afternoon and head to Sao Paulo, Brazil, minutes before 6pm
South African time.
They were to be in Sao Paulo by midnight and connect immediately to
Belo Horizonte, venue of their opening match of the FIFA Confederations
Cup against Tahiti on Monday.
The Super Eagles’ first match in the tournament is on Monday.
The Eagles have insisted they be paid at least $5,000 for a 1 all
draw with hosts Namibia on Wednesday night. They said they were not
properly communicated on a pay slash.
